We are happy to welcome a new lecturer, Dr. Aisling Reilly.
Dr Reilly is an Assistant Professor in Horticulture and she will be teaching on BSc Horticulture programme (HLS5).
My name is Dr Aisling Reilly. I completed my PhD in 2021, researching powdery mildew disease resistance of commercial and heritage oats, and identifying the MLO susceptibility gene family in oats. During my postdoc, I assessed different endophyte species for their use as biological controls against wheat diseases and abiotic stresses.
I have recently been appointed as Lecturer/Assistant Professor in the School of Agriculture and Food Science at UCD. I will be teaching topics such as Field Vegetable Crops, Post-Harvest Physiology and Advanced Technologies in Temperate Fruit Crops.
