1. Study in Dublin: Stage 3 (For GDIC Students)

Introduction

This guide explains the selection criteria and application procedures for GDIC students who wish to study at the UCD campus in Dublin. These criteria have been decided by GDIC in partnership with the UCD Schools. It was agreed that up to 20% of students from each of the three programmes (Biological Science, Food Quality and Safety, Horticulture) would be offered the opportunity to complete Stage 3 of their degree at UCD.

Requirements

· If there are more applicants than the approved quota, students will be ranked based on their GPA (UCD). 

· Must have a min. GPA of 3.08.

· Must have achieved a min. grade C+ in both Stage 2 English language modules.

· At the time of applying students should not be carrying any failed modules.

Application process

All applications should be made through the UCD online applications system, which will be open for GDIC students in February and remain open until the 28th of April 2023.

Fees

Students will pay fees as international students at UCD. However, GDIC students will be awarded a scholarship against normal UCD non-EU undergraduate fees.

Non-EU Undergraduate Fees: 27,720
GDIC Scholarship: €7,000

Balance Paid by Student = Non-EU Undergraduate Fees - €7000 (This payment will be made directly to UCD).

Students will pay SCAU fees to maintain their SCAU registration and be eligible to be awarded a SCAU degree. This fee will be 50% of the annual GDIC tuition fee, (This fee payment will be made directly to SCAU).

Student Visa & Immigration Information

  •  Please note that one of the visa application requirements is to provide a qualified English exam score (such as TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo, etc.). Detailed English language requirements for study visas can be found in the Irish embassy website linked (opens in a new window)here. Please refer to the requirements for “All other courses (not 2nd level and not preparatory
    English)”.
After you arrive in ireland, you will need to complete immigration registration. There is a  guide to the process on the UCD Global site. Please also contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

2. Students Mobility (For UCD Students)
