The UCD Institute of Food and Health brings together research staff from different disciplines across UCD, all working together to deliver pioneering research in the area of food and health.
Our research helps to promote sustainable diet-related health and wellness, to develop national and international policy in relation to food and health, to enable our agrifood sector to be more competitive, and to secure global food systems for the future. As part of this research, we regularly run Human Health Studies.
Our Human Health Studies are vital in helping us:
- Understand the health outcomes of consuming different foods and ingredients on health outcomes - Improve the taste or experience of consuming different foods and supplements with health benefits - Gather information on behaviour in relation to diet, nutrition and consumption of food
Our studies are led by Principal Investigators who are experts in their field and experienced in conducting Human Health Studies. We adhere to the highest standards from hygiene and safety to ethics and data protection.
