UCD Brand Guidelines

UCD Crest

UCD has one single identity. The UCD crest (brand) offers a flexible and clearly-recognisable identity to all Schools, Colleges and units. A single unified brand brings coherence to the diverse activities of the University and strengthens the overall recognition and reputation of the institution.

The main UCD crest is supported by a ceremonial crest for conferrings and other prestige purposes. UCD University Relations is the custodian of the UCD brand and all uses of the UCD crest must conform to the published guidelines. No new identities should be developed to represent particular units or work areas.

Brand Guidelines

The UCD brandmark may only be used in accordance with the published guidelines and the UCD University Relations Office can offer advice on how to represent work where multiple organisations or funders participate.

The UCD font is Bliss. If you do not have the Bliss font, please contact UCD Communications. If Bliss is unavailable, Verdana is used.

Conditions of Use

UCD explicitly disallows the use of its trademark or any testimonial or endorsement on its behalf, on any promotional material used by a supplier, to include online or offline collateral unless the express consent of UCD University Relations has been obtained in writing which consent shall be at the sole discretion of UCD.
