News Item:The Labour Hopscotch Framework

Congratulations to Sinead Thompson, Dr. Denise O'Brien, Dr. Barbara Coughlan and Lorraine Carroll on achieving this recognition of their research impact.

Project titled "The Labour Hopscotch Framework: improving outcomes for mother and baby" was the recipient of the Runner-Up award in the 2021 UCD Research Impact Case Study Awards. Starting in 2015, the Director of Midwifery at the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems noticed an increase in intervention in birth, epidural and cesarian rates and asked midwives in the National Maternity Hospital to come up with ways in trying to reduce this.
