MyPlanetDiet

MyPlanetDiet aims to test whether a personalised approach to sustainable healthy eating guidelines is acceptable and meets all the nutrient goals of individuals compared with giving general healthy eating advice.

MyPlanetDiet aims to develop sustainable healthy eating guidelines for adults living in Ireland.

We speak to Dr Aifric O'Sullivan, Assistant Professor in UCD's School of Agriculture and Food Science who is the project lead. Read the full interview by clicking on the magazine cover.

Recent studies show what and how we eat has an impact on the environment. We are working on creating a diet that is healthier for you, but also has less of an impact on our planet.

The MyPlanetDiet will examine the effectiveness and acceptability of a novel personalised and healthy diet with healthy adults (aged between 18-64 years). The study is currently looking for volunteers at three sites on the island of Ireland. You can take part at one of locations listed below:

  • University College Dublin, Institute of Food and Health
  • University College Cork, School of Food & Nutritional
    Sciences
  • Queen’s University Belfast
