Speed around the city on the Luas
You can hop on the Luas for quick and convenient transport around the city centre. There are two lines - the green line and red line. These lines serve all of the major tourist sites and shopping districts in Dublin. Unfortunately the Luas does not serve UCD, so you are only able to use this service in the city centre.
Make sure you buy a Leap Card - these can be purchased in the UCD Centra and cost €5. You can top up these cards using the Leap Card App, available on Android and Apple devices. This allows you to tap on to all forms of public transport in Dublin for a cheaper fare, and is much more convenient than paying in coins.
