Professional Certificate in Bioinformatics
The Professional Certificate in Bioinformatics is a full-time, in person only, two-week course at the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine. The programme coordinator is Professor Mark Crowe. The course has a mammalian genomics focus - RNA seq, GWAS, RNA assembly, comparative genomics, population genetics and metagenomics.

Entry requirements
Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree in Agriculture, Life Sciences or Veterinary Medicine.
Applicants must have recently undertaken a Biostatistics course (and to upskill or remind themselves of statistics basics before coming on the course).
All applications will be reviewed by the programme coordinator.
Course fee
For UCD research students, the course is included in the registration fee when students use it to complete taught course work credits. For everybody else, the fee is 2025 was €2,000.
