Prof David Brayden Awarded Sustainable Laboratory Certification

Congratulation to Professor David Brayden on being awarded a Sustainable Laboratory Certification, recognising his leadership in driving sustainable practices in scientific research.

The certification was announced by Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, James Lawless TD, as part of a national effort to promote environmentally responsible research environments.

UCD is a member of Irish Green Labs, and sustainability in wet labs is a major focus of the UCD Sustainable Research Initiative (SRI). As part of this initiative, research teams across UCD are participating in the internationally recognised My Green Lab certification process, working to reduce environmental impact and embed best practice in lab operations.

Professor Brayden’s recognition highlights the School’s continued commitment to sustainability and research excellence.
