Many UCD students are balancing family and care responsibilities with the challenges of college life, which can create stress at times. If your responsibilities outside of UCD are beginning to interfere with your coursework or your ability to partake in your usual activities, it may be time to seek extra help. If this feels like you, then please reach out to your Student Adviser or other supports available to you.
If you are pregnant or have questions about being a student at UCD while pregnant, you can read our guide to pregnancy here.
Students might also find helpful information on the (opens in a new window)Family Carers Ireland website.
Useful tips on balancing a healthy lifestyle, including managing stress are available on the Healthy UCD website.
All UCD students also have access to Silvercloud, an online cognitive behavioural mental health support system and (opens in a new window)Togetherall, which is safe, confidential, digital peer support.
We value your feedback. If you have any suggestions to help us improve our processes and facilities to support students who have caring responsibilities, please email (opens in a new window)student.advisers@ucd.ie.
