Eimear Lambe honoured at the 2022 UCD Alumni Awards
25 November 2022
UCD Graduate Eimear Lambe was recognised at the 2022 UCD Alumni Awards for her historic success with Rowing Ireland.
The UCD Alumni Awards were introduced in 2014 to acknowledge the achievements of notable graduates. At this year's Alumni Awards Eimear was awarded the 'UCD Alumni Award in Sport', after she was part of the Women's Four who made history at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and were the first Irish female rowers to secure Olympic medals.
While in UCD, Eimear was an active member of the Ladies Boat Club and studied International Commerce and German. It’s been an incredible few years for Eimear and her fellow Women’s Four crew; in 2019, she won a silver medal in the World U23 Rowing Championships, bronze at the 2020 European Rowing Championships, and silver at the 2021 European Rowing Championships.
Eimear was one of nine who were recognised at this year's awards ceremony in O’Reilly Hall. See the full list of award winners here.
