The Role of Fitness, Education and Mentoring in Treatment, Rehabilitation and Recovery: Short Film Launch and Discussion Panel on 8th December 1030am - 12.30pm, Axis Centre, Ballymun.
The UCD Community Drugs Programme are delighted to be involved in this event, which will focus on how to integrate fitness, education and mentoring within substance use treatment, rehabilitation and recovery. The UCD/Ballymun Youth Action Project short short film illustrating the findings of the Boxing Clever Programme research project will be launched, together with apolicy briefing paper.
This will be followed by a panel discussion on integrating recovery capital approaches to substance use intervention, with a paticular focus on key themes emerging from the UCD Boxing Clever research project. The event will be relevant to practitioners, programme participants, researchers, Task Force members, service providers and commissioners of services interested in how we consider and integrate a recovery captial approach to substance use intervention.
The event is being hosted by the Ballymun Boxing Clever Programme in partnership with Ballymun Youth Action Project, Ballymun Local Drug and Alcohol Task Force, the UCD Community Drugs Programme and DCU in the Community.
