Travelling from/to UCD
The conference will take place at the Newman Building at University College Dublin in Belfield, Dublin 4 (click (opens in a new window)here to see it on maps).
The University campus is well-served by many bus routes (see here the (opens in a new window)Public Transport Guide). Bus stops are located within the campus and at the main entrance (please click (opens in a new window)here to plan your journey). If you plan to come by taxi, click (opens in a new window)here to launch a taxi fare estimator to help better plan your journey. If you wish to drive to UCD please be aware that visitor pay and display parking is in effect and is limited during academic term time. Please click (opens in a new window)here to view information on charges and parking locations.
Also, there are traffic calming barriers in place to prevent traffic and make the campus safer for pedestrians and cyclists. These barriers are in place from 7:00 am to 10:30 am and from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm Monday to Friday all year round. Please see further information in the (opens in a new window)Guide to Parking in UCD.
If you are arriving directly from the airport, also consider that the Aircoach bus is a convenient and relatively fast option (see here a direct link to (opens in a new window)Aircoach Timetable). Another bus service, (opens in a new window)Dublin Express, operates from Dublin Airport; this is equally efficient in reaching the city centre, but please note it does not serve UCD.
