Professor Gerry J. Doyle holds a BSc and PhD in plant ecology and vegetation science from UCD. Professor Doyle was a Senior Lecturer and Lecturer in Plant Ecology and Vegetation Science in UCD from 1971 to 1998. He was Professor of Vegetation Science from 1998 to 2009 and Head, Department of Botany from 2002 to 2005. Professor Doyle served as Dean of Science from 1993 to 1999.
