Are you passionate about environmental science and eager to gain real-world research experience? The UCD School of Biomolecular & Biomedical Science is thrilled to announce the Acclimatize 2 Summer Studentships 2025—an incredible chance for undergraduate students to be part of a multidisciplinary environmental research project.
What is Acclimatize 2?
Acclimatize 2 is a pioneering project that investigates the sources and effects of pollution in Dublin Bay’s rivers and coastal areas. Funded by the Bathing Water Task Force, it unites experts in microbiology, molecular biology, and civil engineering to provide detailed analyses of, and to address, water quality challenges. Who Can Apply?
We’re looking for motivated 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year undergraduate students with a keen interest in environmental research. If you have a background in microbiology, environmental science, biochemistry, genetics or a related discipline, this is your chance to shine!
Studentship Details:
📅 Duration: 12 weeks (June 3rd – August 22nd, 2025)
💼 Commitment: Full-time
💸 Funding: €300 per week
📍 Location: UCD & various Dublin Bay field sites
