The ENGAGE Seminars are an annual competition, hosted by the UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science in which late stage Ph.D. students are challenged to present their research to a public, non-specialist audience in a clear and effective way.

Our host for the event is  Phil Smyth, an award winning science communicator and broadcaster. Phil is a physicist and an engineer, "loving all things weird, wonderful and explosive"! His principal research interests lie in the field of communication, specifically engaging and exciting an interest in the sciences in students of all ages.
