ENGAGE 2022 Grand Final
Accessible Science in plain English. All Welcome.
We are delighted to invite you to the ENGAGE 2022 Grand Final which will take place on Tuesday 12th of April at 4.30pm both as an (opens in a new window)in-person event in the Moore Auditorium UCD O'Brien Centre for Science and online via a live (opens in a new window)Zoom webinar.
The ENGAGE Seminars are an annual competition, hosted by the UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science in which late stage Ph.D. students are challenged to present their research to a public, non-specialist audience in a clear and effective way.
The event is open to the general public and we invite you, your family, friends and colleagues to be entertained and informed by plain English presentations and posters spanning a breadth of biomedical science.
Our host for the event is Phil Smyth, an award winning science communicator and broadcaster. Phil is a physicist and an engineer, "loving all things weird, wonderful and explosive"! His principal research interests lie in the field of communication, specifically engaging and exciting an interest in the sciences in students of all ages. He is a presenter with RTÉ having written and presented on over 320 shows including his latest project, Home School Hub.
The following is the list of our six finalists for the ENGAGE 2022 Grand Final and their talk titles:
Niamh Moreton: "Stroke: Priming the Brain to Survive"
