NexSys team


Funding

  • ESIPP received €11 million in funding through Science Foundation Ireland’s Strategic Partnership Programme (2015-22), with five industry co-funding partners and one philanthropic donation.
  • NexSys received €16 million in funding through Science Foundation Ireland’s Strategic Partnership Programme (2022-26), with nine industry co-funding partners and one philanthropic donation from David O’Reilly, Chair of UCD’s Energy Institute Advisory Board.
  • The nine industry co-funding partners include Ireland’s leading energy providers: EirGrid, ESB Group, Davy, Atlantic Hub, CIE, RWE, EPRI, Gas Networks Ireland and SSE Airtricity. In addition, NexSys has an extensive list of collaborating partners, which will help the team provide an evidence base for policy and service delivery.
