Stage 2 Transfers - Indicative Places

Subject to availability of places, applications for transfer and readmission will open from 16 April to 11 June 2025. The list of indicative available places below is subject to update until 28 May.

There is no guarantee that there will be places available in any course or that any application will be successful. Availability of places is dependent on progression and retention of existing students.

External applicants whose official results are not available by the closing date must indicate when their results will be available, and must submit their transcript by 25 June 2025. Applications that provide results after that date can only be considered if places remain following initial offers (i.e. with late applications in August, if available).

Subject to availability of places after initial offers, late applications may open in August 2025. Please note that registration typically starts from mid-August so any successful late applicants may be late joining registration processes and consequently, module availability may be reduced.

Prospective applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements to be considered, or do not have sufficient relevant modules to apply via this route, may wish to consider applying for entry via (opens in a new window)CAO. Late applications may be made up to 1 May (5pm). That is the final closing date; there is no exceptional late closing date in July any longer.

Notes:

  • If you have already made an application,(opens in a new window) use this link to return to it.
  • It is unusual for places to be available in 3rd or subsequent years, except for re-admission applicants. Any such places will be listed below, when applications are open. External applicants see next point.
  • For a UCD degree to be awarded, University regulations stipulate that at least 50% of the overall programme credits must normally have been earned in UCD.
  • Non-EU applicants must contact UCD Global.

After the closing date, all complete, submitted applications will be screened by Admissions. Applications which meet the minimum requirements (as outlined in the "Am I Eligible?" section of the applicant pages at www.ucd.ie/transfer) will be sent to the College/School Offices for consideration by the relevant Programme Board. Incomplete applications or applications that do not meet the minimum requirements cannot be considered.
