About UL's PPI Summer School

The (opens in a new window)University of Limerick's PPI Summer School (Opens in new window) is a mix of keynote talks and interactive workshops. It is suitable for anyone new to public and patient involvement (PPI) and for those who are more experienced.

It is held at the University of Limerick.

About the bursaries

The PPI Ignite Network @ UCD has a number of bursaries available for UCD early career researchers (PhD students and postdocs) to attend the summer school and improve their knowledge of PPI. Bursary recipients are decided by lottery.

The bursary includes:
  • registration
  • on-campus accommodation at the University of Limerick (2 nights: 25th-26th June).
  • Maximum of €75 per person that can be claimed via receipted expenses for travel to attend the summer school. 
The selection of recipients for the bursaries will be via lottery. 

How to Apply

  • Applications are only accepted via (opens in a new window)this form (opens new window)
  • All applications must be submitted before 1pm, 09th of June 2025 (Irish Time).
  • PhD students must be registered at UCD and have their supervisor's permission to apply and attend.
  • Postdocs must be employed by UCD and have their line manager's permission to apply and attend.
