One of the best ways of connecting researchers and policymakers is through exchange programmes, including PhD internships, shadowing initiatives and more formal fellowship schemes (like the (opens in a new window)SFI Public Service Fellowship Programme). No matter the format, these initiatives aim to build relationships, develop a shared understanding, and facilitate the movement of ideas, evidence and data.
