Following the UCD graduation and reception on 4th September, over 250 Bachelor of Science and Professional Master’s graduates gathered with their families, friends, and faculty to mark this major milestone in their academic journeys. Dr Gráinne O’Donoghue, Associate Dean of Physiotherapy, opened the ceremony with a warm welcome and heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the School. She commended the graduates for their dedication, resilience, and commitment to excellence throughout their studies.

One of the highlights was a nostalgic slideshow of UCard photographs from the students’ first and final years, which prompted laughter and warm applause from the audience. Closing the ceremony, Dr Sinéad McMahon, Director of Clinical Education, congratulated the graduates on their success and reflected on their clinical education journey — acknowledging how far they have come and the bright futures that await them as physiotherapy professionals.
The celebration continued with the presentation of academic and clinical education awards, recognising outstanding achievements across multiple categories. Class representatives Rachel Jameson (Professional Masters in Physiotherapy) and Hannah Johnson (BSc Physiotherapy) spoke on behalf of their classmates, sharing reflections on their time at UCD and expressing gratitude to the staff and clinical partners who supported their journey.
