School Safety and Health Management

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in University College Dublin starts from the top down and as a school within UCD we are compliant with all the safety processes as laid out by our university’s safety team (SIRC). Our Schools (SPHPSS) safety documentation (available below are our School Safety Policy and our three safety statements for our principal facilities) complies with the overarching university policy on health and safety management, and associated safety documentation. For further information on our Universities safety management system please connect to SIRC here.

SPHPSS is committed to the safety, health and wellbeing of everyone involved in the activities of our school. Whether you work directly for our school, conduct research with us as a student, or whether you provide input to school activities your safety is our priority. Our school has a Safety Committee in place with representatives from across all school activities to ensure that we take occupational safety and health into account in all that we do as a school within our university.

If you have a query relating to health and safety as part of your activities within our school please contact the Chair of our School Safety Committee: Mr Ryan Stewart (Senior Technical Officer) at (opens in a new window)ryan.stewart@ucd.ie.
