Useful Information for Students

The School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science School Office provides support to students on the various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the School. We encourage students to contact the School Office if they require advice or assistance (for example, relating to extenuating circumstances, leave of absence, withdrawal or recognition of prior learning).

Office Hours

Fees

Fees are handled centrally by the University. To discuss an issue with fees, please contact the Fees Team within the Student Desk space in the Tierney Building (which can be found on the (opens in a new window)interactive map). You can contact the Fees Team using the Student Desk Connector or go directly to the Student Desk space to speak to someone in person. There is also a student information helpline open during weekday opening hours: +353 1 7161555.

Student Desk

The Student Desk is located in the Open Plan space within the Tierney Building (which can be found on the (opens in a new window)interactive map). For any fees-related issue, please contact the Student Desk team. For any programme-related issues, please contact your Programme Administrator or the Programme Office.

Student Health Service

The Student Health Service provides on-campus medical, psychological and psychiatric care to registered students of the University.

Student Supports

There are a broad range of student supports available at UCD. The Chaplains, Student Advisor or Counselling Service are available if you would like to speak to someone confidentially.  

Student Advisor

The role of Student Adviser is to provide support for students by providing advice and information in relation to social, personal and practical issues and, where necessary, by referring them for more specialised advice to members of the academic or administrative staff or to the professional support services.
