News Jan 06: Installation of three new NMR spectrometers at field strengths of 400MHz, 500MHz and 600MHz respectively. These systems were funded by the HEA through PRTLI Cycle 3, and the SFI through their equipment supplement grant scheme to researchers in Chemistry. (Principal Applicant, Dr Paul V. Murphy; Co-applicants Professor Patrick J. Guiry, Professor Michael J. McGlinchey, Dr Peter Rutledge and Dr Matthias Tacke).

News Jan 11: Planning for the move of two NMR spectrometers (ucd300 and ucd400) from the old building to the Centre for Synthesis and Chemical Biology NMR Laboratory.

News May 12: Installation of two NMR spectrometers (ucd300 and ucd400) from the old building to the Centre for Synthesis and Chemical Biology NMR Laboratory.

News Jun 13: Installation of the Agilent DD2 500 MHz as a replacement of the Varian Inova 500 MHz NMR spectrometer.

News Aug 21: Installation of the JEOL 400 MHz as a replacement of the Varian 300 MHz NMR spectrometer.

News May 24: Replacement of the 2 Kaeser air compressors at the CSCB plant room feeding room L0.18.

News Jun 24: Re-consoling of the 600 MHz system with a new BRUKER Advance NEO console.

News July 24: The NMR centre has been renamed "Dr Ken Glass N.M.R. Spectroscopy Centre" and a commemorative plaque, in memory of Dr Ken Glass who was deeply involved in the founding and running of the NMR service in the Department of Chemistry (and who passed away last year), has been mounted on the wall of the current NMR suite.
