The School of Chemistry and The Centre for Synthesis and Chemical Biology are fortunate to have access to state-of-the art NMR equipment, with five NMR spectrometers operating at field strengths of 400 to 600 MHz.

The "Dr Ken Glass NMR Spectroscopy Centre" is located between two laboratories (L0.17 - L0.18) in the CSCB building.

These facilities are available to all CSCB members and to staff and students of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Biology.

JEOL400 Jeol ECZS 400MHz Spectrometer.
This system has been financed with the help of University College Dublin (UCD EQUIP Funding programme – 2020/33).
newucd500 Varian Inova 500MHz Spectrometer.
This system has been financed in 2013 with the help of SFI (SFI Research Infrastructure 2012 - Proposal ID: 12/RI/2341) and its access via NMR request form is available to industrial customers from the whole Ireland.
ucd400 Varian VnmrS 400MHz Spectrometer.
Funded by the HEA through PRTLI Cycle 2 and 3 in 2006
cscb500 Varian VnmrS 500MHz Spectrometer.
Funded by the SFI through their equipment supplement grant scheme to researchers in Chemistry in 2006.
newcscb600 Bruker Advance NEO 600MHz Spectrometer.
This system has been financed initially by the HEA through PRTLI Cycle 2 and 3 in 2006 and its re-consoling has been financed with the help of University College Dublin (UCD EQUIP Funding programme – 2022) with Prof. Pat Guiry as Lead Applicant.
