Funding

The sunucd300 and sunucd500 systems were purchased with a gift to the School of Chemistry from Senator Edward Haughey, Norbrook Laboratories, Newry.

In 2006, the three new spectrometers, ucd400, cscb500 and cscb600 were funded by the (opens in a new window)HEA through PRTLI Cycle 3, and the (opens in a new window)SFI through their equipment supplement grant scheme to researchers in Chemistry.

In 2013, the newucd500 system was funded with the help of SFI (SFI Research Infrastructure 2012 - Proposal ID: 12/RI/2341).

In 2021, the Jeol400 system was purchased to replace the sunucd300 with the help of University College Dublin (UCD EQUIP Funding programme – 2020/33).

In 2024, the cscb600 systems were reconsoled with the help of University College Dublin (UCD EQUIP Funding programme – 2022) with Prof. Pat Guiry as Lead Applicant.
