The CAO online application facility opened on 5 November 2025, marking the first key milestone in the application cycle for students hoping to begin undergraduate study in September 2026.   • Is my child safe on campus?
    Yes — UCD has extensive security and wellbeing supports.

  • Who helps my child if they’re struggling?
    Student Advisers, Academic Advisers, and wellbeing services are all available.

  • Can I access my child’s academic information?
    Due to privacy regulations, students must authorise this.

  • How competitive are course entry requirements?
    They vary by programme, check recent CAO points and minimum subject requirements.

  • How does accommodation allocation work?
    All CAO students who are planning on coming to study in UCD can apply for accommodation by joining the waitlist. However only students that receive a CAO offer for UCD and have joined the waitlist will receive a room offer from UCD Residences.
