Multicultural Employee Network at UCD (MENU) - Terms of Reference
The Multicultural Employee Network at UCD (MENU) was established by the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Multicultural sub-group following feedback from employees.
The aim of MENU is to make International employees feel welcome, to help integrate them into the UCD Community and beyond, to provide a space for international employees to socialise, network, and exchange ideas with a focus on promoting cultural diversity and awareness in UCD.
The network committee consists of key roles to manage its activities and has representation on the EDI Multicultural subgroup and the Gender Equality Action Group.
Objectives:
- Provide a forum to / welcome new and existing employees by organising socialising and networking opportunities
- Offer opportunities to exchange personal experiences in a friendly environment on issues that impact International employees
- Act as a voice for international employees by being a source of consultation/feedback for the EDI Multicultural Group/other relevant professional services groups and by being an important channel for the University to communicate relevant policies/practices
- Raise awareness and promote cultural diversity in the University
Meetings:
The MENU Committee will meet quarterly. MENU will organise events and get-togethers to celebrate cultural events in UCD.
