UCD Clinical Research Centre offers a portfolio of part time, full time, in-class and fully online graduate taught programmes in Clinical and Translational Research. Our MSc and Graduate Certificate programmes are taught by expert, internationally renowned investigators and are designed to educate investigators and research professionals who will advance cutting-edge clinical research through excellence. A comprehensive programme of hands-on practical experience complements classroom-based learning as well as cultivating the skills and knowledge to appraise, evaluate and enhance clinical research. Student assessment encompasses the evaluation of practical as well as theoretical skills and knowledge, with an emphasis on development of a skill set to advance careers in academia or industry-led research.
The Masters (MSc) in Clinical and Translational Research is available on both a full-time (12 month, X789) and a part-time (24 month, X427) basis. A comprehensive programme of hands-on practical experience is a core element of the course, complementing classroom-based learning. Both programmes involve input from academic and industry partners preparing graduates for careers in academia and the pharmaceutical clinical research sector.
For graduates interested in preparing for a career in clinical research, the UCD Clinical Research Centre also offers a part time graduate certificate programme (Graduate Certificate in Clinical Research, X982). This programme is delivered in person over eight months and aims to make graduates employment ready, developing practical relevant skills. The course provides a fundamental grounding in clinical trials, data management, biostatistics and clinical trial management.
