UCD Centre for Emergency Medical Science (UCD CEMS) 

UCD Centre for Emergency Medical Science (UCD CEMS) was established in 2001 to provide a national centre of excellence for research, development, education and training in pre-hospital emergency care.
Excellence in Education, Training & Research

UCD CEMS is located in the Health Sciences Centre at the UCD School of Medicine, Belfield, Dublin 4.

The principal activities of UCD CEMS are

  • Provision of graduate and undergraduate education and training in pre-hospital emergency care

  • Provision of short courses in immediate care - including cardiac, trauma and paediatrics

  • Management and delivery of the MERIT Project (Medical Emergency Responders: Integration & Training
