Prof Barbara Dooley, Acting Registrar and Deputy President at UCD, recently announced the outcome of the UCD Teaching and Learning Awards 2021-22.
The award scheme encourages UCD students, faculty and staff to nominate members of the university engaged directly in teaching for an award. For this year’s awards, more than three thousand nominations were received from the UCD community between November 2021 and the end of August 2022. Nominees were then invited to apply for a College level award, which involved two competition rounds and led to twelve awardees receiving the highest honour bestowed by UCD for teaching and learning.
Two recipients of the Teaching Excellence Award, Assoc Prof Jonathan McNulty and Prof Louise Rainford, are from the School of Medicine.
The Teaching Excellence Award recognises individual faculty and staff in teaching roles for sustained commitment to teaching excellence and student learning and is awarded to:
