Arup Scholarship Awards Ceremonies 2018

On Friday November the 30th the first awards ceremony for the Arup Scholarship in Electrical Engineering and the Arup Scholarship in Mechanical Engineering were held at Nova UCD.
Hamidreza Shokrani has been awarded the first Arup Scholarship in Electrical Engineering valued at €2500 Euros. The scholarship is intended for 3rd Year students of Electrical Engineering progressing to the ME programme in Electrical Energy Systems and is aimed at stimulating excellent electrical students in UCD interested in designing and solving the challenges of today’s built environment.
Siofra Herr has been awarded the first Arup Scholarship in Mechanical Engineering valued at €2500 Euros. The scholarship is intended for 3rd Year students of Mechanical Engineering progressing to any of the ME programmes offered by the School of Mechanical Engineering and is aimed at stimulating excellent mechanical engineering students in UCD interested in designing and solving the challenges of today’s built environment.
At the event participated John Leahy, Luke Stewart and Emily McSweeney from Arup, Profs. David Timoney and Federico Milano and Eibhlin Loughman from UCD.
