Roisin Neururer elected chair of EMYA
Roisin Neururer, has been elected chair of the newly established EMS Young Academy (EMYA). Roisin will chair this inaugural cohort of 30 young mathematicians and play an important role in establishing the vision and activities of the EMYA over the coming years.
EMYA echoes the aims and responsibilities of the EMS, but with a specific focus on young mathematicians (3rd year PhD students up to 5 years after PhD). In particular, they aim to give a voice to, and encourage participation of, young mathematicians within the EMS; promote and support the work of young mathematicians across Europe; and propose scientific activities of interest to our community. Since supporting our young community is the primary aim of EMYA, we would welcome ideas and suggestions from any young mathematician across Europe about how we can support you in your careers and, broadly, your academic life.
You can find information about EMYA, as well as contact details, on our website: (opens in a new window)www.euromathsoc.org/EMYA.
