Graduates of the BSc. in Mathematics, Science and Education
Graduates of the BSc. Mathematics, Science and Education pathways were awarded their degrees on September 7th, 2018, from the President of UCD, Prof. Andrew Deeks.
These seven graduates from DN00 in the College of Science will now pursue a MSc. in Science and Mathematics Education at UCD. On completion of the MSc., each of these students will be fully qualified STEM teachers, addressing the shortage of qualified STEM teachers available in the Irish education system.
The director of the programme, Dr Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin, said: “We are very proud of our graduates. Not only have they excelled in their chosen academic subjects of Mathematics with Physics or Biology, they have also shown a great passion and dedication for teaching. They will be excellent teachers and wonderful ambassadors for STEM in the Irish education system.
