PUBLICATIONS, PROJECTS AND RESOURCES

  1. The (opens in a new window)Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) produced the report “Lost Boys: State of the Nation”, CSJ: London, that shows the situation of boys in areas of employment, education, families and fathers, crime, and health: “Boys are struggling in education, more likely to take their own lives, less likely to get into stable work, and far more likely to be caught up in crime.”
  2. (opens in a new window)Equimundo: Center for Masculinities and Social Justice works to promote gender equality and create a world free from violence by engaging men and boys in partnership with women, girls, and individuals of all gender identities.
  3. Women’s Aid Ireland has launched the report (opens in a new window)Evolving Manhood: Attitudes, Influence, and Well-being Among Irish Men (Nov 2024); and a series of resources(opens in a new window) Ally Action List, aimed at men to become allies in ending gender based violence.
  4. MANOS - The MANOSphere Pill: Pathways of Boys and Men into Online Male Supremacism in Portugal and Ireland,(opens in a new window) DCU Institute for Research on Genders and Sexualities, Dublin City University. The project investigates the development of male supremacist formations, collectively known as the Manosphere, within the Portuguese and Irish contexts between 2013 and 2023. It explores how, to what extent, and why they resonate with various forms of male disaffection in diverse cultural and socio-economic settings, with a particular focus on the subjectivities of young men.
