Learning at Lyons
UCD Lyons Farm operates under the auspices of the UCD College of Health and Agricultural Sciences and is an important resource for the School’s of Agriculture and Food Science and Veterinary Medicine. The facilities are used by undergraduate and postgraduate students and staff as well as for Continuous Professional Development with graduates and agri-food professionals.
Research at Lyons
Lyons Farm provides the on-farm facilities that support over €20 million in active research grants. In addition it provides the infrastructure to support the graduate research opportunities that lead to both Master's and Doctoral degree awards from both the, UCD School of Agriculture, Food Science & the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine.

Lyons Farm Today
The beautiful Lyons farm consists of approximately 250 hectares. It operates mixed enterprises, supporting teaching and research in the areas of beef, crops, dairy, equine, sheep and pigs.

AgTech INNOVATION CENTRE
The AgTechUCD Innovation Centre promoteS and accelerateS early-stage start-ups and SMEs with disruptive innovations in the agri, agtech, agrifood and veterinary sectors, as they build their innovative businesses into leading enterprises creating jobs. AgTechUCD also runs an annual accelerator programme dedicated to agtech and agri-food start-ups and SMEs.
