Admission to UCD Library

Admission to UCD Library

Staff and Students from other Universities

UCD participates in several reciprocal schemes allowing admission to consult material not available elsewhere. Staff and students from other Universities must apply under one of these schemes. All applications must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of the visit.

E-resources

Off-campus access is not available. Under the terms of our licence agreements with publishers, limited electronic resources are available to external readers to consult within the Library for private study, research and not for commercial gain.

Wi-Fi access for visitors

Two wireless networks are available for visitors to UCD:

UCD Guest:

UCD Guest is an open Wi-Fi service for visitors. Visitors who are not affiliated with an institution that provides eduroam should use the UCD Guest network.
Access is limited to basic internet browsing and does not provide access to UCD systems.
What is the UCD Guest Wi-Fi network?

eduroam:

eduroam (education roaming) is a secure, worldwide Wi-Fi service designed for the international research and education community. If you are a student, researcher, or staff member at an institution that participates in eduroam, you can connect on campus using your existing login details.
How do I connect to the eduroam Wi-Fi network in UCD?
