Admission to UCD Library

UCD Alumni

Alumni Association membership includes admission to UCD Library.
The Alumni Association issues a Visitor UCARD which provides Library Admission only. Full information on obtaining an Alumni Library UCARD can be found here.

E-resources

Off-campus access is not available. Under the terms of our licence agreements with publishers, limited electronic resources are available to external readers to consult within the Library for private study, research and not for commercial gain.

Borrowing

Alumni Members may apply to join the Library as an External borrower.
Alumni undertaking courses at other Irish academic / educational institutions should use one of the existing reciprocal schemes.

Fees:

3 months: €75
6 months: €125
12 months: €200

Wi-Fi access for visitors

Two wireless networks are available for visitors to UCD:

UCD Guest:

UCD Guest is an open Wi-Fi service for visitors. Visitors who are not affiliated with an institution that provides eduroam should use the UCD Guest network.
Access is limited to basic internet browsing and does not provide access to UCD systems.

eduroam (education roaming) is a secure, worldwide Wi-Fi service designed for the international research and education community. If you are a student, researcher, or staff member at an institution that participates in eduroam, you can connect on campus using your existing login details.
