UCD Law Proud to Announce FET Entry Route into Our Degrees
From the academic year 2018-2019, UCD Sutherland School of Law is proud to announce that we have created a new FET entry route into all of our eleven law degree programmes.
Students studying specified Level Five and Level Six FET awards, who have excelled in their studies in further education and training institutions, are strongly encouraged to apply for one of 6 FET places available on our BCL and BCL with degrees (DN600). Full information on the precise recognised FET awards for entry onto our BCL and BCL with degrees, and minimum entry requirements can be accessed here.
Entry to our very popular Business and Law degree (DN610) is also available, with 4 FET places for the academic year 2018-2019. Full information on the precise recognised FET awards for entry into our Business and Law degree, and minimum entry requirements can be accessed here.
Application for FET entry to one of our eleven law degrees will be through the (opens in a new window)CAO, and qualifying applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
UCD academic staff will be on hand during (opens in a new window)UCD Open Day 2017 to discuss this new entry route with potential applicants.
Dean of the Sutherland School of Law, Professor Imelda Maher speaking about this new entry route, stated
“The Sutherland School of Law is keen to encourage those who have excellent FET awards to apply for our undergraduate programmes. The School is rightly reaching out to a wider pool of students who we believe should be part of the number 1 Law School in Ireland.” ((opens in a new window)QS World Rankings 2017)
Dr Liam Thornton, who led the introduction of the FET entry route in the School of Law commented,
“This new FET route recognises the diversity of learning journeys our students will take before coming to study with us. The introduction of a FET route to our law degrees emphasises the commitment of UCD School of Law to attracting a diverse cohort of students, which greatly enriches our learning community in UCD.”
