Fourth London Law Reception in the Law Society 

The Sutherland School of Law was delighted to welcome a large number of our UK-based alumni for a reception in the sumptuous surroundings of the Reading Room of the Law Society, London.  The reception has become a major event in the calendar of the School of Law, offering as it does an opportunity to catch up with both recent graduates and long- established alumni, based in the London.  

The event coincided with the UCD Corporate & Commercial Law Study Visit to London where students were welcomed by leading law firms that included Slaughter and May, Allen & Overy, Jones Day, Clifford Chance and Clyde & Co.

At the reception, the Dean of Law, Professor Joe McMahon, welcomed guests and spoke about how the school values its extensive alumni community in London, a city where UCD graduates continue to achieve remarkable success both in the legal profession and beyond. The photograph above reunites three of the 2013 UCD Law class, all pursuing successful careers in London.
