Our History
The conversion of Merville House to a modern centre for new ventures and entrepreneurs was funded by a unique public-private partnership, which included six private sector sponsors, AIB, AMD, Arthur Cox, Deloitte, Ericsson, and Goodbody, along with Enterprise Ireland and UCD.
NovaUCD was officially opened in 2003.
In 2018 UCD announced that it was expanding NovaUCD’s capacity to house start-ups by over 50% with a €6.7 million development project, to renovate and extend the NovaUCD East Courtyard, which was completed at the end of 2019 and was officially opened in October 2021 by Taoiseach Micheál Martin TD.
