Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Information and Communication Studies, temporary.

Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Information and Communication Studies within UCD School Information and Communication Studies. The School of Information and Communication Studies ICS) is a diverse, interdisciplinary and fully research active school. As a member of the iSchool consortium the School is committed to high quality interdisciplinary research and teaching on information related areas. The School of Information and Communication Studies ranks among the top 50 LIS schools worldwide in the QS rankings.

ICS is now looking for an Assistant Professor to support the School Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. The appointee will be expected to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervise masters students. We are seeking a scholar with research interests in two or more of the areas where the School is offering programmes: Library and Information Studies, Information Systems, Human Computer Interaction, Communications and Media, and Digital Policy . The appointee will diversify and enhance the academic activities carried out by other colleagues in the School and will work collaboratively with them in the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The successful candidate will be able to contribute to teaching across two or more of the School subject areas. The successful candidate is expected to develop relevant modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in accordance with their expertise.

95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Below The Bar (7944) Salary Scale: €38,659 - €67,001 Per Annum Or 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €60,261 - €95,425 Per Annum Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
