The HI community is delighted to announce that our Director, Professor Anne Fuchs, has been awarded the 2025 Royal Irish Academy Gold Medal in the Humanities. The second medal was awarded to Seamus Martin, Smurfit Professor of Medical Genetics at TCD. The medals were presented at a special ceremony at the Royal Irish Academy on 13th February 2025. | Click the arrow below for further details.

This call for papers is for the first symposium in a series of three which will be rolled out in 2025/26. “Feeding the Soul: Transnational Narratives of Food and Belonging”, supported by the Irish Humanities Alliance (IHA) and the UCD Humanities Institute (University College Dublin), seeks to explore the role that food plays in transnational fictional and non-fictional literary works, film, and visual arts.
