3rd International Symposium in Climate-Resilient Agri-Environmental Systems (ISCRAES 2024)

message from the organisers:

It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the Third International Symposium on Climate-Resilient Agri-Environmental Systems (ISCRAES 2024). This biennial scientific event, which operates on a not-for-profit basis, will take place from June 25th to June 28th, 2024, at the UCD O’Brien Centre for Science, University College Dublin, Dublin 04.

The main theme of ISCRAES 2024 is “REFRAMING STRATEGIES FOR A LOW-CARBON FUTURE IN AGRO-FARMING SYSTEMS,” aiming to achieve the primary objective of agro-environmental sustainability by addressing the significant environmental, climate, and societal challenges currently faced by the world.

This conference will provide a platform to discuss the scientific and technical aspects of a range of cross-cutting issues associated with the environmental impact of agriculture, including public perception, regulatory frameworks, and socio-economic factors within 12 dedicated sessions.

We also take great pride in welcoming you to Ireland, the green island in the North Atlantic, which offers a fascinating blend of ancient and modern, urban and rural life. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the green campus of UCD and the vibrant city of Dublin, Europe’s fourth most popular city and one of the friendliest capital cities in the world.

For further details including abstract submission and registration, please visit our website: (opens in a new window)https://www.iscraes.org/ and download the flyer.

Free National Workshop on HOLOS-IE: An Advanced Digital Tool for Assessing and Planning Climate-Resilient, Carbon-Neutral Farming

We are excited to announce a free national workshop introducing the preliminary prototype of  HOLOS-IE, a comprehensive agricultural systems-based digital platform/model, and the project is funded by Science Foundation Ireland through the Government of Ireland and the European Commission Resilient and Recovery Facility, and collaborated by Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine through ERA-NET.
Align with the Climate Action Plan and the EU Green Deal, our mission is to revolutionise agricultural land use planning including agroforestry to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 using the HOLOS-IE.
Join us as we explore alternative land use and management practices and cutting-edge technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance carbon sequestration, imrpove soil health & agrobiodiversity, imtroduce circulary economy, and take strategic measures to minimise carbon footprint at farm level, ultimately achieving NET ZERO emissions.
We value your feedback and suggestions for further improvement of the HOLSO-IE.
