MA in Irish History

UCD’s dynamic School of History, the largest in the country, has long played a vital role in leading national debate and research on the evolution of Irish society, culture and politics.

MA in Medieval Studies

This MA in Medieval Studies is for students who are interested in any aspect of the medieval world and who wish to take those interests further.

MA in Public History

The MA Public History draws upon the established strength and expertise of the UCD School of History. Within this program you will work closely with historians who are active in the practice of public history and commemorations.

MA in Global History

The Global History MA is designed to encourage you to think about historical problems beyond their local, national and regional contexts, training you to think about how historical change happens because of the interaction of local, global and international factors.

MA in the History of Welfare and Medicine in Society

The MA in the History of Welfare and Medicine programme in the School of History is a research-led postgraduate programme which seeks to introduce students to a range of issues, controversies, debates, and specialist topics in the history of health, medicine and welfare.

MA in European History (UNICA)

The UNICA Masters in European History is a collaborative programme run by 10 universities in eight capitals around Europe (Dublin, London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Madrid, and Tallinn).

MA in International War Studies

The Dual MA in International War Studies will be offered by University College Dublin and the University of Potsdam, where the only Chair of Military History in Germany is based.

MA in Archives and Records Management

The MA in Archives and Records Management aims to provide a recognised qualification for those wishing to work as archivists in archives services and in organisations which require professional expertise in corporate record services.

Certificate in Archive and Records Management

The Certificate in Archives Management and the Certificate in Records Management are part-time undergraduate level courses aimed at individuals already working with records or archives in their employing organisations who are seeking to acquire and develop knowledge of professional best practice in core areas of archives or records management.

Graduate Diploma in History

The Graduate Diploma in History is a one year (full time) or two year (part time) 60-ECTS credit degree programme, taught within a friendly and dynamic environment.
