UCD ThesisIn3

The UCD ThesisIn3 supports graduate research students in their development as confident research communicators. Research students are challenged to present their research in three minutes, using only one slide, to a non-specialist audience. Entrants must distil their niche subjects and intensive research into bite-sized presentations that will inform and entertain the general public.

UCD ThesisIn3 2024 winner Melissa Kinch from School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Science represented UCD in the National Irish Universities Association (IUA) Three Minute Thesis competition with a truly impressive presentation on Wednesday, 13th November 2024 in the Royal Irish Academy. Find out more about the competition on the (opens in a new window)Irish Universities Association website.

Melissa will also compete with researchers from all over the globe in the (opens in a new window)Universitas21 Three Minute Thesis Competition (3MT®). You can cast your vote for the U21 People’s Choice award and support Melissa from Monday, 18th November 2024 until Monday 8th January 2025.

Good luck, Melissa!

Congratulations to all 2024 winners
