Learning Abroad Opportunities
Exchanges, Erasmus+, and Study Abroad Opportunities for UCD Students
UCD students have the opportunity to study at one of our partner universities around the world through Exchange and Study Abroad programmes. These allow you to spend a semester or full academic year abroad while earning credits that count towards your UCD degree.
Opportunities are available through:
-
Exchange – For students studying at one of UCD’s formal partner institutions worldwide, usually with no additional tuition fees.
-
Erasmus+ – For students studying at European partner universities under the Erasmus+ programme.
-
Outgoing Short-term Mobilities– For students who wish to attend a university without an exchange agreement, subject to acceptance by the host institution.
While abroad, you remain registered as a UCD student and have access to academic support from both your host university and UCD. The credits you earn will transfer back to your programme, subject to approval.
These experiences are designed to give you academic and personal benefits, including the chance to develop intercultural skills, expand your academic perspective, and gain independence in a new environment.
