European Student Assembly The European Student Assembly (ESA) is an annual gathering of students from universities participating in European University Alliances (including UCD). More than 250 students participate in ESA annually with an aim to debate, first online and then in-person, issues that are central to students in Europe, draft policy recommendations on the future of Europe and advocate for them among stakeholders and decision-makers. Talking Black: Voices From the Diaspora This 6-part lecture series and discussion group focuses on the African perspective and experience in Ireland with an interdisciplinary focus (heritage, technology, culture, art). The goal is to bring African and African-diaspora voices to the forefront and to create a learning space that is consciously inclusive of often-neglected voices with valuable experience. Events are hybrid and screened in the UCD Global Lounge. |

Una Europa Epilepsy Data Challenge Are you ready to make a difference in the world of healthcare? In this challenge, participants will harness the power of Machine Learning to detect seizure events from data collected from over 200 epilepsy patients using a wearable device. The challenge kicks off in February with an online workshop, followed by release of the dataset to participants. Regular online Q&A sessions will be organised. In April, participants and Una Europa experts will come together in a joint workshop to present their findings and discuss their results with experts. |
