Missing the Boat: Port Infrastructure as a Critical Barrier to Offshore Wind Energy Development in Ireland

New paper on PublicPolicy.ie by Dr James G Carton and Bill Duggan, DCU & John Doody, UCD. Based on research conducted by academics in DCU under the NexSys research programme, this paper shows how limited port capacity is a key constraint for Ireland’s planned rollout of critical offshore renewable wind energy projects.

Climate communication challenges and needs in Ireland’s key sectors

New paper on PublicPolicy.ie by Anne Pender, Dr Miguel Trejo Rangel & Dr Cara Augustenborg, highlights the outcomes produced by a climate communication needs and challenges assessment that was conducted with 60 stakeholders from four key sectors in Ireland: agriculture and land use, transport, renewable energy, and local authorities.
