Adrienne Pagac is Managing Director of the Havens Wright Center for Social Justice at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She holds bachelors and masters degrees in Sociology (New York University and UW-Madison, respectively). Adrienne has been active in the US labor movement since 2006, when she joined the Teaching Assistants Association (TAA. AFT 3220), the oldest graduate student labor union in the US as a proud rank-and-file member. A longtime shop steward, Adrienne was an active participant in the Wisconsin Uprising, the popular social movement response to a Republican Party push to revoke collective bargaining rights for public-sector workers. Adrienne served as Co-President of the TAA (Fall 2011-Spring 2012) and was Vice President of the Graduate Employee Council of AFT-WI (Fall 2013-Spring 2014). Prior to returning to the UW, she worked as a labor union organizer to empower non-profit and tech workers to fight for dignity on the job and off.
